If you've ever had a hard drive die, lock up or act strangely and start making noises and wondered what the noise meant you now have a resource to find out. Data Cent has this page on their website with typical sounds of different brand hard drives experiencing different problems.
You can listen to a Samsung desktop hard drive with bad heads, a Western Digital Hard drive with bad bearings, a Seagate drive with a seized spindle and many others. Who knows, it might even be helpful in the future. I do know that it is entertaining for at least a little while.
