The Codswallop blog has a great list of 100 alternative tools for collaboration, organization, calendaring and more in the article The Freelancer’s Toolset: 100 Web Apps for Everything You Will Possibly Need.
Some of the tools are free while others are commercial, but if you are looking for alternatives to the usual suspects for products, this list is a great place to start. Who knows, you may find a tool that makes your practice more efficient and easier.
