Marketing Tip: Always Give your Client 2 Business Cards

This tip is easy, inexpensive and easy to make a habit of doing. Happy clients can be some of your best marketing, so give them a card to keep and one to pass on to someone else. This does mean though that you will need to always have enough business cards and make sure that you keep them in a business card holder so they don't get bent or dirty.
Recently I attended a local state-wide CLE seminar as an exhibitor for Time, Billing, Accounting and Practice Management software. It was attended by over 200 lawyers and 50 other exhibitors. One of the features of the event are the many raffles for $25-$50 gifts offered by many of the exhibtors, including my company. Easily half of the attendees who stopped at our booth had no business cards to drop in the bowl, so we had to enter them in our raffle with a hand-written form. Every lawyer before leaving their office or house ought to confirm that they have their: 1) wallet, 2) keys and 3) business cards.
