Clients generally appreciate small, thoughtful actions on the part of their lawyer. There's no better way then to help them organize their materials and important papers for transactions you handle for them. If you do real estate or estate planning work, give your clients closing books or estate planning document binders – not those cheesy vinyl floppy folders that real estate agents like to use, but nice 3 ring binders. Make a presentation of giving it to your clients and include a CD with all of the docs on it as well. Include a closing letter thanking them for the opportunity to help them and also remind them of your other practice areas.
